String in the Tail

String in the Tail is a bangle that also serves as a bracelet. The design combines figurative and abstract elements inspired by the movement of the Siamese fighting fish. A three strand string of pearls with a gold bead forms an adjustable catch, so the length can be changed to fit the wrist. The piece is made entirely by hand from reused 18 carat white and yellow gold. Natural yellow diamonds are set against white diamonds, and the pearls rest softly against the skin. Hand carving shapes the flowing fin details.

Modo Snap Hinge

Modo Snap Hinge is an eyeglasses frame built with a screwless hinge system. The hinge joins the frame front to the temples by pressure alone, without screws or welding. Only three parts are used: a beta-titanium temple with a hook shape, a small stainless steel cylinder with bi-conical heads, and an injection molded polymer front with an internal undercut cavity. The cylinder is held in the front and allows smooth friction rotation. The mechanism is hidden inside the end piece, which keeps the frame simple and clean.

Love Eternity

Love Eternity is a pair of earrings designed to express the enduring nature of love. Each earring consists of two parts, a bezel holding a ruby and a spiral drop element. The bezel has a channel from which the spiral hangs, allowing a pendulum motion when worn. Alternating rows of diamonds and gold form two strands that wind into one and flow in a spiral course. The earrings are made from 14K solid yellow gold, two round lab-grown rubies of 3 millimeters each and about 558 round diamonds. Production included computer modeling, 3D printing, lost-wax casting and stone setting.

Planetary Ring

Planetary Ring is a ring made from meteorite material. The design is inspired by Muonionalusta, an iron meteorite found in Sweden. A miniature bearing, one millimeter in diameter, is set in the center of the meteorite disc, so the disc rotates as the wearer moves, in the manner of a planet. The surface keeps the natural pattern of the iron meteorite, formed by machining and acid etching. The meteorite is left without anti-oxidation plating, so the texture changes over time. The support structure is made of 925 silver and is joined without welding.
