Dancing Gerberas
Dancing Gerberas is a pair of earrings inspired by the gerbera flower. The design follows the organic patterns found in Art Nouveau architecture. The earrings capture the moment when the flowers begin to dry and release their fragrance, an idea expressed through the movement of the hanging stones. Each piece is hand carved in wax, cast in sterling silver, hand polished and finished with 18 karat gold plating to separate the color of the flower from the stem. Faceted garnet drops are added by hand with gold filled wire. Each pair measures 40 mm in width and 70 mm in height.
Dancing Gerberas Earrings by Eliana Palomo was selected as an outstanding representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dancing Gerberas Earrings won the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2020. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
