Lunar is Robert's project for timepiece company ZIIIRO. This watch creates a tie between the design and the nature of the object. If it wasn't a watch that naturally moves sunwise, it wouldn't be possible to read it. The edges of two semi-circles moving in clockwise direction show hours and minutes, they are both leveled at the same height which creates a flat surface. By the interlocking shapes, hands and watch face become one to create a constantly changing graphic.
Continue readingFairies is a pair of kinetic earrings inspired by the duality of day and night. The asymmetric duo includes Fairy of the Day, made in white gold with diamond flowers and a hidden emerald heart, and Fairy of the Night, made in blackened gold with a ruby heart, diamond stars and a crescent moon. Both figures have moving legs and individual faces. A 3D model was prototyped in wax and cast in gold, then finished by hand and polished. A total of 403 precious stones were set before the parts were joined. The pair remains light and wearable.
Continue readingThe Power of Pastry is a collection of interactive paper jewelry kits. The collection includes rings, bracelets and brooches, inspired by the making processes and structures of pastries. Each piece is folded directly from one prepared paper sheet, so no glue is needed. A recorded guide video explains every folding step. The kits are offered at different levels, from simple rings to more complex brooches. The paper is laser cut and engraved, and is left blank so that each user can add a personal style. The collection shows that jewelry need not rely on precious materials.

Continue readingPlanetary Ring is a ring made from meteorite material. The design is inspired by Muonionalusta, an iron meteorite found in Sweden. A miniature bearing, one millimeter in diameter, is set in the center of the meteorite disc, so the disc rotates as the wearer moves, in the manner of a planet. The surface keeps the natural pattern of the iron meteorite, formed by machining and acid etching. The meteorite is left without anti-oxidation plating, so the texture changes over time. The support structure is made of 925 silver and is joined without welding.
Continue readingThe Venation is a jewelry collection inspired by the growth patterns of plants. The collection includes earrings and a brooch with irregular outlines and a dense central structure that suggest the texture of natural growth. Streamlined undulations create organic forms and give the pieces a sense of extension. Each piece is designed and printed with 3D technology, then set with diamonds in 9-karat gold. The hollow structure relates the forms to the human body. The diamonds follow the outlines and reflect light along the twisting lines.
